Hoping for some great photos!

I finally got fed up a couple of weeks ago with my Nikon d70 SLR. I loved this camera when I first got it. It had all the bells and whistles. Well in the past 3 years, I've had my ups and downs with the camera.

Angry Husband and I decided it was time to get a new camera. We are missing out on lots of moments, because we have been only using our point and shoot.

Well we decided to order the Nikon d60. It's a small format of the SLR's, but it's perfect and small. I can't wait to get it.

DHL attempted to deliver it yesterday, but unfortunately, no one was home to sign for it. Thankfully, my mom is at my house today, so she can sign for it. I can't wait to take some pictures.

Shopping

I've shopped alot this week. I made my way over to Ann Taylor Loft, the Nordstrom sale, Gap.com, and Target.

I've gotten all kinds of cute things. Unfortunately, I can't find any of these things on the internet. Otherwise, I would show you. Well the Gap stuff is online, but really does anyone want to see the bras I've purchased.

Falling Asleep Waiting for Laundry

We got home late tonight and I realized that I had no clean white t-shirts for work.

It was 9:45 when I started the washing machine. I'm sitting here right now waiting for it to be done, so I can put the stuff in the dryer.

I went through my entire closet looking for men's style white t-shirts, just so I can go to sleep. No-go!

So alas I wait, 25 more minutes and then I can go to sleep....

Why do I always wait till the last minute for laundry.

Operation Stash the Toy Does Not Work

Angry Husband and I realized that "Operation Stash the Toy" does not work anymore with Angry Toddler. He's way too smart.

We told him that he could pick out one toy at Target tonight. He picked out like three things and threw them in the cart. The most coveted item, a train from Thomas the Train. Right after he picked out the train, he wanted a $2.97 ball.

As we rounded the corner, Angry Husband removed the train from the cart and placed it on the shelf.

On the way home, AT began to ask for the train. We kept changing the subject.

Then when we got home, he went digging in the bags for the train. He said, "Where is my Special Train." It broke my heart. He looked soo sad.

I told Angry Husband, "We can't pull that one anymore, he knows".

Thirty minutes later, he's still asking for the train.

Edited to Add:

Angry Husband promptly went back to Target.

Ya, Ummm Angry Husband was Reading Today

Ya, I left my laptop out on the kitchen table with my e-mail open. He saw that there were some comments for my blog to acknowledge. He then clicked on my actual blog and started reading.

He kinda got pissy and started calling himself Angry Husband, and AT (Angry Toddler).

I had to text him later to see if he was still mad.

He said he was just joking.

Find my Keys, Please

I usually leave my keys in the center console of my truck, which is USUALLY inside the garage.

I did a 5K run yesterday so I took of the clump of keys and downsized them to my truck key, alarm thingy, and my lo-jack thingy.

We went to Disneyland yesterday. I drove home last night. Angry Husband always makes me drive. Anywho, my sunglasses are in the kitchen, but my keys are not. I couldn't park my truck in the garage cause AH left Angry Toddler's bikes everywhere on Sunday.

Now it's 7am-ish. I need to take Angry Toddler to preschool at 8 and I have a ton of errands to do. But no keys.

I had to call my mom, whom lives 15 minutes away, to bring me my spare set. She has the spare set.

ARGH! I'm going to have to look everywhere in this house today. I think Angry Toddler got a hold of them.

Ran my personal best today on a 5K

I'm not the fastest runner in the world, but I'm trying. That's all that matters.

I used to do alot of 5K runs, a couple of years ago. This was before I was working night shifts, fertility drugs, being pregnant, and having Angry Toddler.

I finally realized late last year that I wanted to be the "old" Julie. The athletic one, the smaller one, hahahhahahaaha.

I ran a 5K last July and came in with a time of 46:56. I thought that was pretty good for me at the time. Hey, I finished before alot of people, that is what really mattered to me.

Well, I just tracked the race results for today's run: 35:15! YAY! I've improved over 11 minutes. I ran a race last month and my time was 37:48.

All those hours that I have spent in the gym have really paid off. I'm glad. I get discouraged sometimes, even when I get up early in the morning before work to do my workouts. But seeing this time, really inspired me.

Wii Fit

Everyone on all my forums that I go on, is bragging about the Wii Fit. We have a Wii. I got it for my birthday in November. I hardly even use it.

Angry Husband has so much stuff hooked up to the TV in our front room, that I can barely use the remote control. He has the Wii hooked up wirelessly.

I keep thinking that I want to get this. Do I need this?

I might have to work an overtime shift to buy one.

Angry Toddler Turns "3"

We had Angry Toddler's 3rd Birthday party last Saturday. His actual birthday was on Monday, the 19th.

I picked a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. We had a great turn-out although it got to be 100 degrees out.

Here are some pictures.

Can you hop a small gate?

We have a small fence in our front yard. It's too keep Angry Toddler in, not to keep people out.

When we are playing in the front yard with Angry Toddler, we put a padlock on the gate so AT won't open it and run out in the street.

Today is the day that my cleaning people are supposed to come. I heard my dogs barking this morning, so I peeked out the window and saw them on my driveway. The one lady was on her cellphone talking. About 15 minutes later, she still had not come to the door. I went outside to look, and she was gone. I then realized that Angry Husband had left the padlock on the gate last night.

I tried calling her daughter's cell, but no answer.

I can jump the gate, it's pretty easy for an adult to go over it.

Sigh, our house is dirty after Angry Toddler's party. I soo don't want to clean today.

What a Busy Week

Wow! What a week it's been.

Angry Husband's Grandparents were here last weekend. They live in Northern California and it's been awhile since we've seen them. We had a BBQ with my parents on Mother's Day and then on Monday, we went to the Aquarium. It was a great visit.

Angry Toddler's Birthday was yesterday, so I was running around like a crazy woman all week. Nothing like the last minute. I don't know why I always wait but I do. It's just me.

On Friday, I finished all the last minute errands for his party. I met my mom at the mall for a little retail therapy. I discovered that the Nordstrom sale starts next Wednesday, the 21st. I love that sale.

Then I went to the Beach with my friend. We were just walking around the shops, and I said, Hey, you want to get a margarita. So we sat and had some strawberry margaritas. That margarita worked some wonders.

On Friday night, we went to Disneyland, of course. It was Africa hot outside, I swear. Everyone in Southern California seemed to be at Disneyland.

Angry Toddler in the Morning

Angry Toddler has been such a bear in the morning lately. The kid is like a 15-year old, refusing to get up in the morning. Here are some comments from the past few days.

"No want to go to school, school is closed."
"Don want to see friends, want to sleep."
"Don want to see teachers."

For the past few days, I've had to trick him into getting dressed. The first day, I said we were going on an Adventure. The second day, I said we were going on a trip. I'm running out of lame comments.

The kid has already slept 10 hours. I need him up and out to preschool. I have tons of errands to run.

I'm going to try and get him up now. I wonder what his comments will be this morning.

Learning Blackberry-Eeeze

I'm a techno gadget girl. I usually learn stuff pretty easy when it comes to electronics. But, boy this Blackberry is really challenging me. I've had to make a few phone calls for tips from my friends.

I walked into the Verizon store yesterday and freaked out on them too. I was like, "Give me my contacts back!!" The girl at the counter advised me that Verizon's "Back-Up" thing does not work with PDA's and Blackberry's. Ugh!!

I had to take Angry Husband and Angry Toddler back into the Verizon store last night so I could get my contacts on my new phone. Angry Husband switched his cellphone to my old LG enV. He's soo happy now that he's got a full keyboard to text.

I'm going to try and learn this thing too. There's alot of useful information on the net about Blackberry's. I need a tutor or something.

Out for Delivery

Those are the most beautiful words....

My Mother's Day gift is out for delivery. Angry Husband got me a Verizon Blackberry Curve for Mother's Day. Ok, well I ordered it. But told me that if that is what I want for Mother's Day, then order it.

It's brand new for Verizon, it came out last Friday. My friend Londie had one, until she switched to the iPhone. My friend Stacie also has one. When I played with Stacie's, I knew I wanted one, but I patiently waited.

I hate that Verizon takes so long to come out with the cool phones.

Chuck E Cheese, Our First Visit

We had our first visit with an almost 3-year old, to Chuck E. Cheese. We were attending a birthday party. Angry Toddler was screaming "Chuck E. Cheese" in the car, even though he had no clue what it was.

Before going to the party, Angry Husband picked him up from the doctor. Angry Toddler was having a recheck due to his upper respiratory infection. They drugged him up with some steroids and sent them on their way. They got home and I gave AT a breathing treatment also.

So, when we arrived at the land of the gray mouse, AT went friggin crazy. Seriously, he was running around like some wild animal. Angry Husband followed him around, then it was my turn. Seriously, you didn't even need to give the kid tokens. He just wanted to see and touch everything.

He pissed off some bigger kids though. He kept trying to take their skee-balls. Angry Husband got some dirty looks from some annoying parents due to that.

We finally had to drag him out of the party a little over an hour later.

My observations of the place. Ugh..I swear we will never purposely take him there again. You check in the front door with your kid, and get your hand stamped. They match you up with your kid. We chose to watch our kid. But other parents "chose" to let their kids run like wild banshees. Seriously, I saw some two year olds running around without shoes or parents.

I mean the place is semi-big. Why would you chose to ignore your kids. I don't get that. Unless, we are going to a party there, we won't go back.

But, we did tell my parents. They can take Angry Toddler there anytime they want. HA!

Good Job Mama

Ugh, I have the day off cause we are going to a wedding today. I thought "maybe" I could sleep in a little. Nope. My body is programmed now to wake up at 5-6am. While I was starting to wake up, I heard Angry Toddler waking up, cause he was coughing.

I went and got some Tylenol Multi-Symptom. I took it to him and he drank it right away. I'm soooo happy that he will take medicine now. This is a totally new thing as he refused medicine before. He then decided that he wanted to get up and go into the front room to watch Noggin.

I decided to go to the bathroom. Well he following me in, to our tiny bathroom. There was no room for him to stand, so he stood in the shower while I went. And OMG, while I went to wipe. He started clapping and said, "Good Job Mama."

Yea, umm kid. I've been going on the potty for 30+ years. It's your turn now. He is still trying to potty train. Maybe I inspired him for the day.

Teacher Appreciation Week

As I was signing my son out of preschool last Friday, I noticed an extra piece of paper in his folder. The piece of paper was a letter from his school's director. The paper stated that next week (starting tomorrow) would be Teacher Appreciation Week.

Ugh, seriously....

Next weekend is Mother's Day, Angry Husband's Family is coming into town for 3 days, and the week after that is Angry Toddler's birthday.

I wish the school would have given more advanced notice, than 5pm, the Friday before...

I'm soo stumped on what to do for his teachers...

And on top of everything else, his has two main teachers, but several other teachers work his classroom DAILY. Do I get individual items? Do I get a group item?

Is there a budget? Seriously, this is Orange County, California. Not everyone is rich.

Work Out Funk

I think I'm heading into a work out funk. I'm doing the same routine almost 7 days a week since Janaury.

So yesterday, I went to Border's and bought a stack of Fitness Magazines. Here is my inspiration!

*Muscle & Fitness Hers
*Oxygen
*Women's Health

Wish me luck!

Crisis Averted-Wedding Ring Almost Lost

Ugh! I get soo scatter-brained sometimes. I was feeding Angry Husband's fish and the phone rang. I went to answer the phone and somehow I got saltwater all over me. I got distracted from a damn wrong number. I argued with the person for like 2 minutes. It was probably a bill collector.

Anywho I washed my hands and then threw out some trash. I then realized, OMG, where is my wedding ring. SHIT!!! I can't lose another one. I looked everywhere and couldn't find the ring. I even called my mom and told her to bring over a wrench. I figured that the only place that the ring could be, was in the drain. My stomach started hurting.

I then went and got Angry Toddler from school. Meanwhile, I got a phone call from my mom lecturing me about losing jewelry. It's a pattern with me.

I looked everywhere when I got home. I picked up a dish towel discarded on the counter and out my ring fell. YAY! I was soo happy. I called my mom to let her know. She told me that I need to get my ring re-sized. Since I've lost some weight, my ring is huge.

Angry Husband would have been pissed at me. This is my 2nd wedding ring. My first ring was lost/stolen when our house was for sale in 2005. This ring is a Hawaiian style ring. I don't think I will be telling Angry Husband this story when he gets home, he will give me that look.

Mommy and Me Trip to Disneyland

I was in the middle of my single parent action for the week last night. I needed something to entertain Angry Toddler for the night. He is much better when his is being stimulated. I did something completely un-me. Seriously, I get very bad anxiety from AT sometimes. But I decided to be a grown-up and take Angry Toddler to Disneyland, all by myself. I think my mom was in shock when I told her. She kept calling me to see how things went.

Angry Toddler was great. He sometimes got a little squirmy in line, but I gave him that nice little parenting phrase, we all know and love. "If you don't behave or listen, we are going to go home." I swear, he straightened up and was an angel, everytime I said that.

The kid even sat in the stroller for me. It was amazing. We went on 4 rides, I think? Which was enough for AT, since he had been at preschool all day. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring me camera, but I had the Disney folks take a picture of us, see above.

I might try that again, someday. Angry Husband takes him all the time by himself. I'm not that brave.

Tonight, my parents are coming over. We are going to go to dinner or something.
