While trying to stay awake tonight

I watched these movies! We pay for a monthly service of Netflix. Unfortunately, I just mailed in 2 DVD's yesterday. We have one other Netflix DVD at home, it's "The Golden Compass". Ya, umm, not my choice....Angry Husband wanted some DVD's of his choice, so I got that one for him.

Anywho, I went to Blockbuster and rented some movies. I rented these three. Yikes, it was over $12 to rent them. Seriously, I pay less than $20 a month for Netflix, and I get over 20 or so movies...

Anyway, Fool's Gold was cute and funny. I'm glad that I didn't go see it in the theater, but it was light hearted.

The other Boleyn girl. What can't I say about this movie; the costumes, the set design, the story. I'm usually not into historical films, but I kinda like this particular genre. It was very good. Angry Husband asked me if he would like it. I told him, I think so.

The last movie, I watched and just finished was Untraceable. It was kinda scary. I'm not going into details. But seriously, it was kinda freaky for someone like me who is on the internet along, that's all I can say.

Working the late shift

For the past two days, I have stayed late at work. My co-worker called in sick. I work the day shift and she usually works the night shift. I volunteered to stay over, well someone has too.

So yesterday, Saturday, I worked from 6am to 10pm. It was a long day. I came home and Angry Husband and Angry Toddler were still awake. I was able to see them for a 1/2 hour before bedtime. I got into my jammies and hung out in our family room. Angry Husband was watching some television show on fish. I think they were catching them with their bare hands. They were called "noodlers". I was not very entertained.

We all went to bed after a bit. Angry Husband proceeded to turn the fish show on in our bedroom. I was like, seriously, can you turn off the fish and turn on the news or something. I finally rolled over and went to sleep, only to wake up at 5am.

Well, I'm here again. I started work at 6am....It's almost midnight and I'm still here. I'm going to try and stay till the end of the PM shift, which is 2:30am...and then I'm off tomorrow. I'm overly tired and I asked my boss for the day off.

So, Angry Husband and I can hang out and do some things, or maybe, I can sleep all day, ha!

Fridge is Broken

Ugh....last Wednesday, I selected my yogurt from our refrigerator. I noticed that the container was kinda luke warm. I looked at the temperature on the fridge and it said 65 degrees, yuck! So I pushed on the digital arrows and moved the temp down.

I called Angry Husband at work and let know about the problem. He told me to call Best Buy, because it's still under warranty. So I called Best Buy and scheduled an appointment for Thursday.

Throughout the day, the temperature just got higher and higher. It finally reached a high of 75 degrees. I then checked the freezer. Well, the temperature problem had finally hit the freezer and everything was melting. So we cleaned out the refrigerator and the freezer. We had to throw everything that was parishable away.

On Thursday, the technician from Best Buy came. He told me that we needed a new thermostat. He said that he would order the parts to be overnighted. He told me that he was able to get the fridge running temporarily until he came back. He said it was ok to put food back in it.

So Thursday night, Angry Husband, Angry Toddler, and I went to Target. My 1st Target trip for the week. I'm trying to stay out of Target more, because I buy stuff I don't really need. Anywho, we spent over $100 getting some basics necessities. Mostly stuff for Angry Husband's lunches and some food for Angry Toddler.

Well, yesterday, my mom was watching Angry Toddler at our house. She mentioned that the fridge temp was up again and that the milk seemed a little warm. She monitored it for a couple of hours and she, yep, it's up to 65 degrees again.

So I called Best Buy again. The person told me that the earliest that anyone could come out was Wednesday. Plus, our parts were in and they could also be installed on Wednesday. Gee thanks, Best Buy.

So basically all the food that we bought it at Target has gone to waste again. Angry Husband is compiling an excel document with all the food that we've lost to send to Best Buy for reimbursement.

We are really pissed because we were trying to be better and eat at home more. Now, with no refridgerator, it makes it kind of difficult.

Changes at Angry Toddler's Preschool

Next week, they are going to start transitioning the kids at Angry Toddler's preschool. All the kids are moving up in rooms. AT is going into the pre-K classes. I found out yesterday that he is going to a different class than his friends.

Angry Toddler has no clue about this. I don't think he will be that effected by it. But for some reason, I'm kind of sad about this. AT will be in a new class with a new teacher, and completely different kids. They are putting him with the three and half years olds, when he barely just turned 3. It might be better for him, he will be more challenged.

Apparently, they split the classes up because they are trying to seperate some of the kids. Unfortunately, these are AT's friends.

My friend, Londie, told me that I need to get used to this. Especially when AT gets to elementary school. The kids get new teachers and new friends every year at school.

I guess Angry Toddler is growing up. I will have to adjust to these things along away. Some things in life I can't control. I guess I just need to accept it and move on.

Aflac Iron Girl

On Sunday, I ran the Aflac Iron Girl 5K race in Del Mar, CA. I did this race last year, but it was in Solana Beach. This was my favorite race last year. They really go all out for the participants. I was looking forward to it the past couple of weeks.

Well we (my running pal, Monique and I), arrived at the event about an hour early. The event started at the Fairgrounds. We had to enter through the main gate of the Fairgrounds and walk, forever to the starting line. We finally made it to there and picked up our race numbers. We didn't even get time to pick up our race packets. We then got in line to start the race. Well there were sooooo many people there. They announced that there were over 3,000 runners. They had the 5K and 10K runners starting together, which was complete chaos.

The racetrack, ugh.... The surface of the track was this recycled material. It was SOO difficult to run on. My friend, Monique, told me that she could hear my cursing, when I was running. I guess my music was soo loud, that I didn't realize how loud I actually was.

I finished the race with a time of 38:00 exactly, which was not my best. I started walking at the end, because I was soo pissed about the track. At the finish line, we received a medal, which is pretty cool.

I hope they the put this race somewhere else next year.

I'm adding a picture that I had taken there too.

Back to no restaurants with Angry Toddler

Angry Husband and I made a decision on Saturday night. I think we are back to not going to sit down restaurants with Angry Toddler again. We went to Red Robin with my parents on Saturday night. AT kept asking to go potty. I would take him to the bathroom, and all he wants to do was wash his hands.

This happened like 4-5 times. Angry Husband was getting annoyed, but guess who kept going to the bathroom with AT, ME! AT even tried to go in the men's room one time.

My dad finally picked AT up and went outside. I was able to take 10 nice and quiet minutes to eat and actually chew my food. When we came outside, my dad and AT were on the merry-go-round. AT just kept waving at all of us.

Wouldn't you know it, we actually went to another sit down restaurant yesterday for lunch. I thought it was one of those order at the counter, and they will call your number restaurants, but it wasn't. I had to deal with the bathroom and hand washing games all over again. This time, I left the restaurant with Angry Toddler.

End of Shift Party

Friday night, we had an end of shift party. We went to one of my co-workers houses and had some yummy Mexican food. It was a warm night. I carpooled with some girlfriends from work.

I even had an al-key-holic beverage. My co-worker who was hosting the party handed me a plastic cup with a straw in it. I think he said that there was vodka, Diet Red Bull, and Diet 7-Up in it? I don't know exactly, but it was pretty strong. I only had one. I got a nice little buzz from it too.

We all sat around and talked. One of the tables of people there was spending most of their time talking about work. Seriously, who wants to talk about criminals in my off-time. It was nice talking to some of the guys wives, about non-work related things.

Alarm Clocks and Cellphones

Just an FYI!

Sometimes it is not a good thing to use your cellphone as an alarm clock. Because if the cellphone battery dies in the middle of the night when you are sleeping, the alarm function won't work.

I woke up almost 45 minutes after my alarm was supposed to go off this morning. The sun was beaming in, which I knew was not a good thing. I usually wake up when it is still dark outside. I have to be at work at 6am. I looked at my cellphone and realized that the battery had died in the middle of the night. I jumped in the shower and got dressed soo fast. Luckily, I made it to work on time.

I was soo tired last night. I got up early yesterday, and went to the gym. I then worked a ten and a half hour day. After work, we had an end of shift party for our team. We had lots of good Mexican food and drinkees with a concoction of Diet Red Bull, Vodka, and I think Diet 7-Up. You combine all these things together, which makes a very tired and sleepy Julie.

So not only was I running late this morning, I am also starving. I didn't grab breakfast on the way out of my house this morning. I'm not off to go hunt for some breakfast. I will probably drink some kind of protein shake because I ate way too much bad food last night.

Angry Toddler is a Season Passholder

Yep! As of yesterday, Angry Toddler is a Season Passholder at Disneyland. If you are over 3 years old, you need a ticket to get into Disneyland.

Angry Husband and I think that Season Passes should start at age 5. Seriously, the kid can't get on 75% of the rides, because of his height.

AT turned "3" last month. I swear, it's like the Disney employees knew or something. We've been going to Disney alot since we got our Season Passes in March. AT turned 3 on May 19th. I swear on May 21st or so, the employees started asking. How old is he? Angry Husband would reply, "oh, he turns 3 in July". LIE!! But geez, a Season Pass for AT was $259, the same price as ours. Which is crazy.

My mom and I were playing a little 2-day Disneyland vacation for July yesterday. And we started talking about Caden needing a pass now. Wouldn't you know, she gave me her credit card number and told me to buy him a pass online. So that's what I did. Thank You Angry Momma.

I also booked (2) nights at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel in July. Ugh, the rooms were expensive. Once again, I'm not paying, Angry Momma is paying. But the trip is booked. I'm sure it will be hot as hell, since we are going in July. Perfect, we can enjoy the pool at the hotel then.

Ode to plastic cash

I'm a plastic cash kinda gal. I never have actual cash in my wallet. If I do, it's very rare.

So last week, I noticed that my debit card was missing from my wallet. I could remember that the last time I used it was to order some pizza. I searched our entire house looking for it.

I finally got frustrated and cancelled it. Well, you know what happens when you do that? Right? As soon as a I got home from the bank, I found it under a pile of stuff in our office. Angry Toddler got up really early one day last week and I found him playing in the office. I think he took my debit card out of my purse.

So I've had to take money from the bank every few days, $20 here, $20 there. It's been quite frustrating.

Well, my new debit card came today. YAY! But, I've been trying to call my bank to activate it and I kept getting a busy signal. Well, I finally called a different number and they advised me that whole bank is down to a power outage. The guy said that it's a weather related power outage in Virgina. My bank is a Credit Union based out of Virgina. He said their system should be back up sometime tomorrow.

I'm in a work out funk!

I'm in a total work out funk right now. I think I need to make some changes in my work outs. I get soo bored now. I unfortunately need to work out 5-6 days a week or I start gaining. I don't know why, it's just me.

I push away on the elliptical, but I get soo bored. I have even started watching the tv while at the gym. My music is also boring, so that's why I went to the TV.

I grabbed one of the schedules for classes at my gym this morning. Maybe I will try a new class this week or something. Maybe I just need to do some more outside activities. I might try running outside tomorrow morning, or maybe even going to our association pool.

I need to think of new ideas, cause I'm totally bored...oh and my weight loss has plateaued also. Which totally stinks.

Sex in the City

I finally went to see this movie, "Sex in the City", over a week ago. I went with my friend, Julie. Julie is a long lost friend. We reunited at the hospital where she works as nurse.

I met Julie in 7th grade when I moved to Orange County. She was one of my first friends here. We slightly parted our way in High School, but we played softball together and did other things.

She lived in Las Vegas for a few years and moved back to Orange County, recently.

Anywho, I've been doing things here and there with Julie. It's kinda fun getting back in touch with someone after so long. We talked about people we went to school with, and things that happened during school.

Anyway, back to the movie. Oh my god, it was soo damn long! Seriously! I love Sex and the City, but I kinda got bored in parts of it. I'm not going to spend a whole post talking about what happened, because if you care, you will go see it. Oh, and we had this really loud woman sitting a few rows behind it, she kept commenting on everything that happened in the movie, loudly!

After doing some reading on the Net, it looks like there might be another movie coming too, a sequel.

But is was a decent cute movie, that made me laugh, which is really all that matters.

Not Listening

We got lots of "reports" from Angry Toddler's Preschool last week. Apparently, he doesn't want to listen to his teachers anymore. Well, um he is 3. He's never been the most patient child anyway.

I think I may have figured out the problem though. He had one teacher that he really likes. She is moving to Northern California in a week. She was not at school all last week. I think AT listens to her better.

On July 7th, they are changing the kid's rooms at school. Angry Toddler is moving to a new room, with a brand new teacher. Maybe, he will be different for her. Sometimes, you just need change.

We've been working on the listening thing all week long. I have to say, not listening is not quite as bad, as biting and hitting other kids.

Toy Story Mania

We had the opportunity last week to check out a new ride at Disney's California Adventure. I got an e-mail about a month ago about this new ride, Toy Story Mania. I had the opportunity to enter for a chance to preview the ride. I got an e-mail that we had been selected to preview the ride on June 12th, from 4-6pm.

We picked Angry Toddler up from preschool after Angry Husband got home from work. We jumped in my truck and headed to Disney.

I thought that we might have to wait a bit for this preview. But, we got on the ride really fast. It's a pretty cool ride. It's 3D based. You have these guns and you shoot at screens. On the screens are carnival games. You shoot at the different sequences.

It was a very cool ride. Angry Toddler didn't quite get the 3-D thing and kept taking off his glasses. Abgry Husband and I both agreed that this ride will be packed when it opens on the 17th. There's no way we will ever get on it again for a long time, without waiting forever.

Operation: Clean Up the House

I've got to take Angry Toddler to preschool and then go to the gym to work out.

When I get home from all of that. Around 10am or so. I'm going to continue on my house cleaning. Well more organizing than cleaning.

I have a ton of stuff building up in our office. Most of it needs to go on e-bay or Craig's List. Then I have laundry to put away. I want to get more organized.

Plus, I need to get some ideas for Father's Day too. It's this week, yikes!!

I took some pictures with my new camera, here they are

Can't seem to catch up!

It's been soo busy lately around here.

I'm finding a hard time catching up on my blog.

I'll try to update some in the next few days. Let's see. Angry Husband and I are good. We've both been really busy at work. Crime is on the upswing and everyone wants the latest home theater gadgets.

Angry Toddler is doing so-so in preschool. His new thing is that he doesn't want to listen to his teacher. Sometimes he tells her "NO", or he goes and hides under a table. Good times. I think it's a 3 year old thing.

Angry Toddler had another appointment with the ENT the other day. As soon as they check with our insurance, they are going to schedule the procedure for his ear tubes. YAY, about fricken time.

We've been going to Disneyland about 2-3 times a week lately. It's been soo nice at night here lately, that we like eating a light dinner and walking around there. Plus the people watching is amazing.

I've been working out like a crazy person. Angry Husband said that maybe I should slow it down a little to give my body a rest. I tried that for a few days, I gained almost 2 lbs. I'm back to my long workouts. I have a 5K coming up on the 22nd. It's my favorite run. It's called the Iron Girl. It's an all women's run and they go all out for it. I can't wait.

Greek

This is my new secret confession. I love watching this show. My friend, Stacey, has told me for months to watch it. The shows is on ABC Family. I finally decided to watch it. I selected the First Season on Netflix. I watches all 3 DVD's last weekend.

Oh my, this show is soo funny. I can relate to it so much. It reminds me of my fun and frivolous college days.

I found that the ABC Family website has all the episodes on it. I'm starting to watch the rest of the episodes that I haven't seen yet.

$94.36

That is how much it cost to fill up my truck the other day. I even got thrifty and went to Costco for gas. I know, I drive a Tahoe which is a huge gas hog. But I like having a bigger vehicle, it just feels safer for me.

Thankfully, I don't drive very far. My job is less than 10 miles away, and everything is local around me. The farthest I go usually is Disneyland.

I wish these gas prices wouldn't stop climbing though.
