Monthly Minute Fitness Challenge-June

I did this last year and it really helped me not be a slacker. I'm trying to figure out what is going on with me and my damn plateau. Yes, I'm probably working out too much. But the lovely thing about me and my extremely slow metabolism...as soon as I slow down the workouts, the weight starts coming on. I may run a lot, but I don't have a runner's body. People will look at me, and think to themselves, seriously, she runs...

So I need some consistency. I'm going to commit to 2500 minutes of exercise every month. If you average it out, it's about an hour a day.

The running, is going pretty good. I'm trying to up my daily mileage. I've been doing the San Clemente Beach Trail about 2 times a week. That's 5 miles each time. Plus, I do about 2 days on the treadmill, and my run club.

I'm doing a Torch Run for the Special Olympics on Thursday. It's a work thing. Law Enforcement Agencies past off the Torch between their cities. I may or may not get pictures of that. You know about the police and not wanting their picture taken. Maybe I can get some pictures of me taken though..

A little late, but here are the 2009 Resolutions

It's been quite hectic around the Angry household. Angry Toddler was out of preschool from December 24th, until yesterday, the 5th. Angry Husband and I are still trying to recover from it all. Today was the first time, I had some time to myself. I thought I would finally sit down and blog some resolutions.

1. Finally, lose the last 40 lbs. I have 40 lbs. to my goal weight.
2. Run at least 3x a week. If the weather is crappy, I will have to treadmill it.
3. Run a 1/2 Marathon. This kind of goes with #2.
4. Ditch the caffeine. I have a serious addiction to Monster Energy drinks.
5. Blog at least one time a day.
6. Not go overboard on buying clothing for Angry Toddler. Another bad addiction.
7. Take some kind of Family Vacation. We need it.
8. To be more organized at home and work. It's gotten chaotic and it's driving my OCD crazy
9. To pay off some of our debt.
10. To be less Angry. Although that is kind of a personality trait. I can try, right?

Treadmills and Toys

I had the repair company come out today to look at my treadmill. The repairman told me that the rear roller, walking belt, and computer board need to be replaced on it. Apparently, this is a come issue with this particular Precor model. I had to pay $110 for the diagnosis. Ugh... So I called Precor and asked them about this "upgrade". The Precor representative advised me that they (Precor) will pay for the parts and labor issue for this issue. So I call the treadmill repair company back. They tell me, that yes, Precor, will cover the labor, but not for the initial consultation.

Ya, ok that makes sense. I pay $110 for a consultation, to diagnose a common issue with this particular issue. So ridiculous. Luckily, it will only cost me $100 to get it up and running.

I then received my Amazon order. I must have not been paying attention when I placed my order the other day. I ordered (2) of one of my items. So I have to mail back this huge box, at an additional cost to me, for an item that had free shipping originally.

Recovering from my Weekend

I haven't had the focus or concentration to really blog all weekend. I have lots of things to blog about. I've even made some lists of potential blog topics. But, I just can't quite sit down and type.

I'm still in a bi-polar love/hate relationship with my hair. Yes, it will grow. There is actually a length that I want it to get to. I have a picture on my desk at home, with me and an ex-friend, S. I think I'm going to wait for about 4 weeks for the next haircut. That will be around my birthday. Ye gads, I can't have another tragic haircut, the week of my birthday.

I'm soo very tired right now, but I will try and plow through some posts. I've been working weekend nights since early September and it's killing me. My body is fighting soo hard to adjust. I can't figure out when to work out, what times to eat, how long to sleep, yet even do laundry. Even Angry Husband mentioned today that I've really cut down on my workouts.

I didn't leave work until 4am, Monday morning. This is not good. I sleep until 11:30am-ish, which only gave me a few hours before I had to return to work again. Angry Husband was already running around cleaning the house. I sorted the laundry and began marinating Angry Toddler's laundry. I call it "marinating" because, I have to pick through every single thing that he wears, looking for stains, and using stain products on the stains.

I then decided that I would do a "tiny" run, like 3 miles or something. I turned on the TV in the garage and hopped on the treadmill. At about mile 2, the treadmill completely shut down. I freaked. I screamed for Angry Husband. Did he hear me? Nope. Damn Marine Corps made him lose hearing....although I secretly think he tunes me out. About 30 minutes later, he went and looked at the treadmill. He said that I tripped a breaker or something. He then mumbled something about re-wiring the garage electrical outlets, or something.

I was really freaking about the treadmill. I have a membership to 24-Hour Fatness. But really sometimes, I had getting all dressed up in my gym clothes, so that I can come out of there looking like a drowned rat. I much prefer running on my home treadmill in my shorts and whatever is available sports bra. No one can see my muffin top, well no one, except our dogs.

I got a little pro-active today though. I laid out my gym clothes for tomorrow. As soon as I get up, I'm going to roll into my gym clothes, and head to 24 Hour Fatness. I have a date with the elliptical and some weights.

PDA....at the GYM!

So, I'm all decked out in my athletic gear (Nike pants, a t-shirt from some run, and a SWAT hat from work), and I'm trudging away on the elliptical at 24 Hour Fitness this morning. I'm minding my own business listening to my i-Pod while watching the tvs.

Out of the corner, I see this couple totally making out. They were all over each other. They were on the machines, then they started walking around groping each other. I gave them the yuck face.

Seriously, the gym was busy. People get a room. You're gross! Have some respect.

Neglecting my Blog

I've been a bad blogger the past month. First of all, I was on vacation. While I was on said vacation, I fractured my ankle.

I've realized that I need to start working out. So I've been going to the gym and also using my treadmill in the garage.

I've actually had tons of things go on, which I could blog about. But literally after dealing with Angry Toddler, eating good, and working out............I'm exhausted.

I went back to work last week, so I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

I've also seen some movies recently. I will blog about that too.

I'm going to try and do some entries tommorrow when I'm at work. Cause unless some big crime happens, I will have nothing to do.
