What a Week

We started off the week with Angry Toddler getting a cold. Because of Angry Toddler's history with bronchitis, asthma, and those lovely febrile seizures..we freak when his nose starts running. I swear our kitchen and bathroom cabinets are like a mini pharmacy. I should buy stock in the over-the-counter medications that we buy for Angry Toddler.

Angry Toddler also gave me his cold. Which really sucked. I had issues all week. I'm finally feeling better.


Angry Toddler missed preschool on Monday and Tuesday. Thankfully Mr. XBOX and Ms. Wii were able to babysit in lieu of preschool. I had to take Angry Toddler to the doctor on Tuesday, because he was not getting any better. She diagnosed him with an ear infection, which equals prescription medications.


So Angry Julie heads to Target pharmacy and throws down the debit card for $95 (YES, ninety-five dollars) worth of medications. The only positive thing about my Target visit is their kick-ass prescription bottles. When we use other pharmacies (cough, cough CVS, you suck), you have to pour the liquid meds on a spoon and hope that you don't spill it everywhere, will convincing the kid to lick the spoon. Target has these plastic lids on top of the prescription bottle, where you insert this plastic syringe and suck out the meds. Angry Toddler loves the syringes and he happily takes his meds. Yes, I know you can buy the syringes, etc. But I love how Target has these automatically built-in.

Wednesday came...Angry Toddler went back to preschool. Can I get a YIPPEE! And I got a wonderful delivery from the Fed-Ex man. The PR peeps from Sonic Drive-In sent me a $25 gift certificate and some goodies for Angry Toddler. They saw my post about Sonic and wanted to thank me for it. I also felt a little better and worked out Wednesday night. I did a TKB (Turbo Kick Box) class at 24Hour Fitness. It literally kicked my butt.


Thursday, I had to go to the dentist and get two crowns done. I've had the temporaries for 2 months. I should have gone back to the dentist within 2 weeks. I just hate sitting there. It really wasn't that bad.


On Friday, I cleaned the house. I haven't cleaned that much in a really long time. It actually still looks clean. I'm very proud of Angry Husband and Angry Toddler for keeping it that way.

Today, well Saturday, so now yesterday...I took Angry Toddler to his sports class and a birthday party. Angry Toddler's sports class did track and field today. He loved running around. I didn't like the misty rain that was coming down on us. And of course, I dressed my son inappropriately again. He was wearing shorts, while everyone else was wearing pants.


Father's Day..well I ran around and picked up some things tonight while working. I'm not as prepared as usual. BUT I spent $10 on CARDS. Seriously, I should have just drawn some or something. I'm really anti-card right now, because they are like $4.

Hopefully I will get to sleep in this morning...and maybe I can dream about some really good blog posts for next week...maybe...

Good/Bad Weekend

Well my weekend started off on Friday, when Angry Toddler's school called me at noon. He had a febrile seizure at school. Ugh, we thought the sickness was over for a few weeks. I guess not. I took him to the doctor later that day and he was diagnosed with bronchitis.

Angry Toddler DOES NOT want to cooperate with his breathing treatments. I don't blame him, it tastes nasty. Angry Husband had to hold him down while I gave him the treatment. Angry Toddler was biting and kicking AH.

On Saturday, we went to a local zoo. AH calls this more "a park with some animals". I thought it was cute. It was really close to our house, and cheap. AT got to see some monkeys, an elephant, and even a cow.

On Saturday night, I went and got a pedicure with my friend, Stacie. I got this mermaid blue color. It's totally funky. She thinks I'm a weirdo, ya soo what! We went to Target and Old Navy too while we were there. Old Navy is having a Baby Sale, so I got some summer clothes for Angry Toddler.

On Sunday, we went to 2 fish stores, so Angry Toddler could see some fishies. We also went to a place called Prehistoric Pets so AT could see some snakes and lizards.

Sunday night, I went to the gym to get away for a little bit. I'm trying to condition my ankle. It's healing better and I have to go back to work on Saturday. I need to make sure I can walk on it for 11 hours a day.

Angry Toddler was feeling alot better this morning. We gave him a breathing treatment and sent him to preschool. He was soo happy to be with his friends. He loves preschool.

Mommy got to watch all her stuff on Tivo too!!! Yippeee.

The Aftermath

Well for me, the Holiday Season is officially over. I'm so glad, really I am.

Last week, Caden came home from school with a slight runny nose. Uh oh, the sickies have come home for the Holidays. Saturday night before Christmas, boom, he had another febrile seizure. The kid's temperature was 104 when we took it. Where do these fevers come from? I swear the kid can't regulate his body temps. So we drag him the ER, to get him checked out. They run a ton of tests, doing a breathing treatment (he was kinda wheezy), and send us on home.

Throughout the next two days, we battled his fever. Seriously, I think we went through 4 bottles of Motrin and Tylenol. Finally on Monday, I took him to the Dr. She diagnosed him with yet, another, ear infection, and sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics. We gave him the antibiotics and they stopped the fevers.

We went to a family friend's house for Christmas Eve and Angry Husband's Birthday. It was a great time. Caden loved playing with my friend's kids, whom are 5 and 8. We then went home and anticipated the arrived of SANTA!

Santa came and all the goodness that comes along with Santa. Caden came out of his room on Christmas morning, and was quite delighted. He unwrapped all of his presents, yet kept asking for "more presents peas"! Thankfully, my parents showed up a few hours later with some more goodies for him.

Angry Husband and I unwrapped some gifts from my parents. I got a new Louis Vuitton make-up bag (yippee), some pajamas, and some perfume. Angry Husband got a HUGE gift certificate to the local fish store, and some Bettie Page collectible crap. He loves Bettie Page. I will NEVER be Bettie Page.

Caden seemed to get sicker on Christmas Eve, Caden's sickness was up and down. He was really weak still and all of the excitement wore him out. He took 2 naps that day.

We had a great dinner of turkey, stuffed, mashed potatoes, and some salad. Poor Caden missed dinner cause he was taking one of his naps.

Since Christmas, we've been trying to organize the house. We keep stepping on little Hot Wheels and Cars toys. Ouch, those little Cars hurt!

Mike and I hit the after-Christmas Target extravaganza. Mike went a little overboard on the lights. I'm sure you will be able to see our house from space next year.

I've been a really bad blogger lately. I will and try to blog more in the upcoming year. It's been soo hectic with work, preschool, holiday shopping, food, sickness, cleaning, and sleeping! I will do another post later and include some Holiday pictures!
