Margaritas at El Torito

I went out for margaritas with a friend last night. We went to the mall, of course, duh. Anyway, there's a new El Torito there. We thought we would try it, and then do some shopping for the kiddos after.

We ordered are margaritas. I like mine blended, she likes hers on the rocks. I compare mine to a slurpee of some sort. I'm such a kid sometimes. I got the blended strawberry margarita with salt on the sides of the glass. It took a little while for us to get chips and salsa, but eventually we realized that we were without the traditional Mexican restaurant appetizer.

Our service was superb, ok, almost obnoixous. Seriously, I swear 5 different people came by and asked us how everything was, cleaned our table, refilled chips, poured our drinks. I had barely put my fork down and they were taking away my plate. It was a bit overkill.

We ate way too much and then proceeded to go shopping. We have a sick obsession of buying clothing for our kids. Seriously, my child has more clothes than my husband and I put together. Yet, I keep buying...

We went to this new store called Crazy 8. It is owned by the Gymboree Company. I had a shopping list from several other moms too. I ended up spending about $300, all my child got was 2 shirts and 2 pairs of pants...

It was a much enjoyed night off for both mommies...I need to do that more often.

Selling on E-Bay

I've been selling on e-bay for about 5 years. I call it my online garage sale. I truly love e-bay. It's my homepage on my computer. I use it daily. I can find all kinds of things on that site.

Word has gotten around work that I peddle my goods on e-bay. I don't go around broadcasting, but people know.

I had a co-worker approach me the other day. He said, "so, I hear you sell on e-bay.". I told him yes, I did. He told me that his wife wanted to start selling on e-bay. He asked me how to sell. I giggled. I showed him one of my auctions. He was quite impressed. He wanted to know how "to do it", "sell stuff on e-bay", "ship", "paypal and the whole works". I was like, umm I could spend 10 hours explaining the whole process.

You never realize how much you know about a subject when you are trying to explain it to someone else. How you started at the beginning and worked your way up. How far you've come from the start.

I told one of my friends. I said co-worker asked me how to sell on e-bay. She just laughed. Because she knows, it's not that easy to do well on e-bay. It takes some work.

I guess I can say that this is one thing I'm pretty good at. So when people ask what I'm good at, I can say, e-baying.

David Beckham = HOT!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I forgot to mention this a couple of weeks ago. I was reading the August Issue of W Magazine. I've never really been into soccer, so I had no clue about David Beckham. Well now that he's come to the US to play soccer, the press is all over him. I mean come'on why shouldn't they be. This guy is HOT!!!

I'm not a cat person

When the husband and I got married, we got two cats. We were doing the apartment thing, and thought have some pets would be cool. So we got 2 cats. We ended up living at my parents house for about a year, and somehow the cats ended up staying there.

I realized that I no longer had really bad sinus problems. I could breath clear, etc. I was allergic to those damn cats. My parents never asked us to take the cats back. Actually, they became quite attached to my parents.

So the parents went out of town to Vegas. Lucky them. We never get to go anywhere except to the park and Disneyland. My mom asked me to go check on the cats, make sure they are feed, refill the water, etc.

They have been gone since Thursday. Everything has been good with the kids, except until today. I notice cat barf in the kitchen and bathroom. It wasn't little barf, it was ALOT. Well I'm sure it had been there since yesterday, because it was not hard as a rock. It was like barf concrete. I had to soak it in 409 to clean it up. Then I cleaned the litter box.

I was soo completely grossed out by this. After all was said and done, I was sweating, had cat hair all over my work uniform, and the barf was all cleaned up.

I've decided that I will NEVER have a cat again. I would rather change my kid's diaper then clean up cat puke and/or poop from a box!

Grocery Store...not my most favorite place

So I went to the grocery store yesterday..

If you know me well, enough...I HATE the grocery store. I get completely confused in there. I walk up and down the aisles, throwing shit in the cart. I never have a list. That would take too much planning to do that. But this time I had a list. I grab my cart, plop my purse down in the cart and dig for the nice little list that the husband so nicely e-mailed to me. Yes, e-mailed. I called him from work, he told me we needed groceries, and started spouting off what we need. I said, can you make a list and e-mail me.

So anyway, I look in the purse....NO LIST. Stupid Me. I realize that the list is either in the front seat of my car or its still in the printer tray at work. Do I walk back to my car to get said list. HECK NO! I slowly to try remember what's on list....fruit, dog food, gatorade..

Then I went blank. I knew that there was stuff on the list that the husband wanted. I called the husband, "I said, oh I forgot the list. I asked what he wanted special from the store. He said nevermind." Sigh, I could sense the "you forgot the list, how dumb are you, attitude."

So I walk up and down the aisles like a zombie.. I have no clue what we need, really I could care less...

I finally approach the check out. I place my items on the belt, put the divider, grab a US Weekly, cause you know I want to find out about Anna Nicole's baby. The clerks are bagging my groceries. Then I look in the cart, I see that my milk is not in a bag. They do this every time. WHY? Is this a new grocery store trend. Yea, I want a gallon container of milk dripping with condensation all over my leather seats in my car. Ugh no thanks!! I say, can I get a bag for my milk. They look at me, like I'm an alien. They finally bag my milk.

I then push the cart towards my car. I throw all the bags in the back, around the huge stroller. I get in and go home.

Ahh yes, I survived the grocery store. I would rather go to the dentist than the grocery store.

Yo Gabba What?

So I was sitting at home yesterday. I was patiently waiting while the contractor finished our lovely fence addition in our front yard. Stacey and her daughter, Stella, had come over to entertain my small child. We sat there with the kids watching THEIR shows. Not that we as adults, have any free will in daytime programming if the kids are home.

It's either George, Cars, Wonderpets, or other similar shows in our homes. So we are watching Noggin. This show comes on, "Yo Gabba Gabba." It has these robots and creatures. It also has the normal person, but yet he is kinda of geeky. The graphics and music are really weird. We just didn't get it. Why would someone like this type of show?

This is a description of the show per Noggin's website:
Yo Gabba Gabba! is a fun live-action program for young children ages 1 and up. Join our host DJ Lance Rock as he introduces us to friendly toy monsters in a magical land full of music, dance, colorful cartoons, and simple life lessons that will get you and your children up off the floor to learn and dance along. Just say the magic words! YO GABBA GABBA!!

Meet the Cast!
DJ Lance Rock. He's our host, and in each episode he gets the show started with the magic words, "Yo Gabba Gabba!"

Muno, the red cyclops. He's very friendly, mild-mannered, but sometimes slightly impatient. He loves to learn and is very outgoing. Sometimes he can be a bit clumsy and has been known to break things.

Foofa, the pink flower bubble. She's giggly, outgoing, happy, bubbly, and likes things that are cute and cuddly. But sometimes she gets a little moody if things don't go her way.

Brobee, the green little one. He's cuddly and cute, but also cautious and needs constant reassurance. He's sometimes scared to try new things. Music, singing, and dancing help give him confidence and help him to learn.

Toodee, the blue cat-dragon. She's very smart and independent. She's also athletic and mischievous. Sometimes she gets too excited about things and can be selfish.

Plex, the yellow robot. He's always there to provide music, teach lessons, and use his wonderful magical powers to beam guests into Yo Gabba Gabba Land. Like a parent, he typically knows how to solve problems.

They're all ready to sing, play, and teach whenever you are. Just say the magic words! "YO GABBA GABBA!"

So this was my theory after watching this show. The only person who would love this show would be someone on ecstasy. Seriously, you have to be on some kind of tripping, mind numbing drug? Something that would make you hallucinate?

I don't know. I made the husband watch this junk last night. Yes, I had to DVR it to show him. He was like this is stupid.

Caden wasn't interested in it. Which I'm soo happy for!

My Baby or My Job

I haven't watched Oprah in a long time. I'm really not a big fan of Oprah, like I once was. My friend Sally told me that she was watching an interesting episode. It was about the controversy of working vs. stay-at-home moms. This topic is very close to my heart, as a working mom.

I'm on alot of parenting forums and website. This topic is almost as controversial as breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and circumcision.

I work because I have to and like to. It's my choice. I believe that I can do both worlds, which makes me a better parent for my son. I have realized within the past year, that I am not that type of person who could stay home. I believe that this is the right choice for my family and that I should not be judged for this choice. There were valid points on the show, that women should respect each other's choices and not judge. I believe that women do judge alot. I do not understand, when someone judges me and they don't about the circumstances in my life and why I make these choices.

I think as part of this new feminism. Its about more choices for women. Some people may choose to work, and some may stay at home. It's none of my business to judge them for the choices that works for their individual family.

For the past few months, my son has started at a preschool. Some people may call it a daycare, I truly believe that it is a school. My son was already speaking before he went to school. But, the words are definately flowing now, he is learning soo much.

I believe that children need outside influences in their lives to be better human beings. He has learned things that I could never teach him. For example; sharing, How do I teach an only child to share in my house? I can't. He needs the outside influences to learn these things. I feel that he is learning these things at a younger age, will enrich his future as a boy, student, and person.

Anyway, this Oprah episode really inspired me.

Here's a link to info about the episode.

School of Fortune by Amanda Brown and Janice Weber

I'm a big time fan of reading. Reading is probably most passionate hobby. I've been a big time reader since elementary school. I can get lost in my books, tuning the world out. I usually read about one book a week. It all depends on how my week is going, how fast I read. I'm almost finished with my latest read, School of Fortune by Amanda Brown and Janice Weber.

This book is about a fictional character named, Pippa Walker. What a great name!! She is a bride to be and right before he wedding is going to start, her fiance, advises her that he's gay. This creates much drama. She ends up stopping the wedding, in which her mother disowns her.. She is left to seek out a life on her own while trying to get a diploma to get her inheritance. It is quite funny.

I highly recommend this book!!

Something posted on one of my Forums

I was lurking on my internet Forums aka Message Boards the other night and saw this posted. It really captures how I feel about the Internet and my online buddies. So Thanks Krissi for posting this:

Friends Without Faces

We sit and we type and we stare at our screens,
We can't help but wonder what all of this means.
With mouse in hand ...we roam through this maze,
On an infinite search...lost in a daze.

We chat with each other, we type all our woes
At times we'll band together to gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.

Soon friendships are formed - but - why we don't know,
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.
We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes we'll flirt,
In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.

Why is it on screen, we are so easily bold,
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.
The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell,
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.

We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to our 'puters ...and to those we can trust.
Even though it sounds crazy...the truth still remains,
Most of my "friends" have no faces...and odd little names.

Going to the Outlet Mall

I'm going to the Outlet Mall today. This is the 3rd time in the past month. I swear, I'm setting a new record. Really, the prices there aren't much cheaper. I truly regret every purchase I make and I return it all. What is wrong with me? It's summer, I should be out tanning or swimming or something?

It's a good avenue to get Angry Toddler out of the house, I guess. If we are home, he acts up and strips down his clothes. So really this venture to the Outlet Mall is so Angry Toddler keeps his clothes on.

I'm meeting friends there so at least I'm not alone. Angry Toddler loves the other kids. It always make him happy.

This made me friggin' laugh sooo hard...

So my son is trying to potty train himself. The kid won't keep his clothes on and hates wearing diapers lately. It is a constant struggle in my house. Soo much, that my mother called me shrieking this morning. She and my dad are about to quit... My parents can't even handle the stripping child. My dad is 5 steps away from a nervous breakdown.

So I was on my lovely morning of lurking on my message forums. I came across this Japanese video. It is hilarious. It is English subtitled. But oh my, funny...

Ok, I had to add another potty video. This is from an episode of The Family Guy.
